Microsoft Azure AI Revenue Triples, Cloud Growth Accelerates
Tech giant reports explosive growth in AI services as enterprise adoption of generative AI reaches inflection point.
Microsoft has reported that its Azure AI services revenue tripled year-over-year, driving the strongest cloud growth the company has seen in over two years.
The results exceeded analyst expectations, with Azure overall growing 32% and AI-specific workloads contributing an increasing share of that growth. Enterprise adoption of Microsoft's Copilot products has surged.
"We're seeing enterprises move from experimentation to production deployments of AI," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. "This is a fundamental transformation of how businesses operate."
Microsoft shares rose 7% in after-hours trading, pushing the company's market cap back above $3.5 trillion.
